Changes ofATPaseActivityin Brain Tisues of Ethyl Carbonate-anesthetized MiceatDifferent Periods

Abstract:OectiveTpreliiailyepoehafboatenducedesthsiabetetingasectivityiftn regionsduringvariousstagesofaesthsiaMethodsKunmingmiceererandomlydividedintofivegroupsbasedondyight(8atsegoup): control group,induction group,anesthesia group,recovery phase I group and recovery phase I group.The control group received an intraperitoneal injectionof saline,while the other four groupsreceived an intraperitoneal injection of ethyl carbonate( 1000mg/kg ).Brain tissues were collected once the mice reached the corresponding state.Na+ K+. -ATPase, Mg2+. -ATPase,and Ca ι2+. -ATPase activities were measured in the cortex,hippocampus, brainstem,and thalamus.Results Compared to the control group,Na+- ⋅K∗ -ATPase, Mg2+ -ATPaseand Ca !2+ -ATPase activities inall brain regions were decreasedtovaryingdegresduringtheinductionphase,withthemossignificantreductionobservedduringtheanesthesiaphase( P<0.05) .Na+- ⋅K+. 1 ATPase, Mg2+. -ATPase and Ca2+. -ATPase activities began to recover inboth recovery phaseIandrecovery phaseII.Byrecovery phase I,ATPase activities inall brain regions returned to normal levels( P>0.05) ,except for Mg2+. -ATPase and Ca2+. -ATPase activities in the cortex.Conclusion The anesthetic effect of ethyl carbonate may be associated with the suppression of ATPase activity.
