Abstract: [Purposes] To provide policy recommendations for the beter integration of artificial intelligence technology and the media industry,and to promote the healthy development of the new media sector under the context of artificial intelligence.[Methods] By analyzing the current application status and challenges of artificial intelligence in the new media industry,summarizing international experiences, and proposing future strategies.[Findings]Artificial intelligence has become a practical tool for enhancing efficiency and stimulating creativity in the new media industry.However, it has also triggereda series of negative effects,such as intensified information homogenization and information overload.[Conclusions]The application and development of artificial intelligence in the new media industry should be promoted through establishing a five-pronged framework,reconstructing industry ethical standards, strengthening data technology research,enhancing oversight and guidance,and fostering multistakeholder and interdisciplinary collaboration.
