Abstract:GodHelptheChidisamasterpiecewritenbyAfricanAmericanfemalewriterToni Morisonthatfirstfocusesonthe currentAmericansocietyinwhichthespatialelementsarecomplexanddiverse.Spatialpractiereferstothewayiwichpeople's practicalactivitstakeplaceinparticularsocialspace.Teformationandconstructionofidentityisloselyelatedtospatialprac tice.This paperatempts toanalyethemultidimensionalimpactofspatialpracticeonthe BridesgrowthinGodHelptheChildfrom theperspectiveofHnryLefebvre'sspatialtheoryandexplorethetransmisionofhistorictraumaofBrideinthfmilyspace,es theticcapitalgameintheworkspaceandspiriualawakeningintheruralspace,aswellasexploretherelationshipbetweenspatial practicendidentity.Thesespatialpracticesrevealthfluidityofculturalidentitytosomeextent,whichpromotetheidetitycon struction of Bride.
