Abstract：Withthe arrival of the digital era，community governancerelying on digital technology is the main direction and important step in promoting the modernization ofthe community governance system and governancecapacity in China.Digital technologyas the inner driving force of smart community governance promotesthechangeandinnovationofcommunitygovernance mode，butatthesametime，itwillalsocausethe phenomenonofdigital technology floatingonthesurfaceand falseempowermentin some partsof smart community governance，whichwillleaditothe problems of disconnecting thedemandof community residents，insufficient participation of pluralisticmain bodies，and marginalization of humanisticvalues.Therefore，inorder to realizetheeffective empowerment ofdigital technologyoncommunity governance，itis necessarytobreak downtechnicalformalismandcarryoutdemand-orienteddigitallempowerment；tobridgethedigitaldivideand stimulatetheenthusiasmofmultiplesubjectsinco-governance;and totranscend instrumental rationality andshape the communityof smart communitieswitha humanisticapproach，soas to promote the governanceof smart communities to move towards a new stage of high-quality and sustainable development.
