Abstract：2023 marks the 60th anniversary of Comrade Mao Zedong'sinstruction to study and promote the "Fengqiao Experience”andthe 20thanniversary ofGeneral Secretary Xi Jinping'sinstruction toupholdand developthe“Fengqiao Expenience".Currently，thereisalack oflegal definition and ambiguityintheacademicdefinition ofmediation by insuranceinstitutions. Thisarticleexaminesnormativelegaldocuments， clarifies surrounding concepts，and sorts out conceptual disputes.At the same time，in the context ofdiversified disputeresolution mechanisms and judicial practice，we should clarify the advantages of insurance institutions setting up mediation organizations and further discuss how to improve the existing develop mentdilemmaof insuranceinstitutions settingupmediationorganizations，inorder totrulyputthenonlitigation dispute resolution mechanismin the front.
