Abstract：As one of thecore forms oftraditional Chinese art，the use ofcolor and composition in Chinese painting has uniqueexpressivepower.Color，asoneofthebasicelementsofvisualart，otonycreatesdiferentemotionalatmosperes throughits richlayersandsymbolic meaningsbut also interacts withcomposition toenhance theartistic expresionof the work.Composition，ontheotherhand，enances thevisualappealofthe workbyorganizing andarrnging elements within thepicture，forminganinternalsenseoforder.The interactiverelationshipbetwencolorandcomposition playsacrucialrole in Chinesepainting creation; theirorganiccombinationcanefectivelyconvey the artist'semotions and thoughts.This paper analyze the functionsand interactions ofcolor and composition in Chinese painting，exploring innovative applications ofcolor andcompositioninboth traditionaland modern Chinesepaintings.Itaims toprovide theoretical supportforunderstanding the expressive techniques and cultural connotations of Chinese painting，revealing howcolor and composition work togetherand reinforce each other in Chinese painting to convey profound emotional and cultural messages.
