Abstract：Asaartisticmed，colorcantriggerthevisualsensesxpandthetextexpresionabilityofenovel，dter presentthe themeofthe novel.Incombination with whathesawand heard when helived in Xinjiang，Wang Meng used color in his novels to shape characters and expressthe theme meaning，which not only reproduced the customs of the frontier in reality，butalsoadhered tothepoeticaesthetic，and constructedaliterar world with both documentary and poetic aesthetic.By analyzingthefunctionandsignificance ofcolorwritinginWangMeng's aovels，we can better understand the function of the narrativerelationshipbetween thenovelthemeandregionalculture inconstructing theregionalstyleofWang Meng's novels.
