Abstract:TheBaeryi Stret SouthExtensionProjectinPutianCityemploystwosingle-pylonconcretecable-stayedbridges with spans of (38+38+38+165)m and (205+46+46+46)m to cross existing railways, featuring mega-tonnage swivel systems of 44,000 tonsand5tosrespectively.Tonvestigatethemehanicalehavioroftheotatioalructures,finiteelemntaalysiswasconductedontheupperandlowerswivelbearingsusingMidasFEAsoftware.Thecomputationalresultsindicatethat: Theoverallmechanicalperformanceoftheswivelstructureremainedsatisfactoryduringrotation,meetingallcoderequirements. Properarrangementofprestressngtendonscouldefectivelyimprovethestressdistributioninbothupperandlowerswivelbearings.The findings ofthis studycan provide valuablereferences for similar bridge engineering projects in the future.
