Abstract： This paper focuses on the analysisand location of on-site faults of power cables of 35kV and below，and focuses onthetestingworkofcablemanufacturerstoprovidecablefaultanalysisandlocationtocustomers.Itexpoundstheanalysisand locationofcableon-sitefaultsfromthreeaspets："thesafetyprotection，theproceduresandmethods，themaintypesandtypical examples".Itishopedthatthiswillhelptestingpersonneltocompletecablefaultanalysisandlocationsafely，quicklyand effectively，and ensure the stable operation of the power system.
