Abstract:Thispaper discusses the designandimplementationofanurbanroadsmart lightingsystem basedonGeographic InformationSystem(GIS).Withtheacelerationofurbanizationandtheintensificationoftheenergycrisis,traditionalroad lightingsystemsarenolongerable tomeettheneedsofmodernurbandevelopment.ThisresearchdeeplyintegratesGIS technologywithsmarttechnologiessuchastheInternetofThingsandbigdata,andproposesanewurbanroadlighting managementsolution.ThroughthespatialdatamanagementandanalysisfunctionsofGIS,combinedwithsmartsensors,wireless communicationnetworksandothertechnologies,thesystemachievesprecisepositioning,conditionmonitoring,energyconsumption analysis and intelligent control of lighting facilities.
