Two-stage improvement strategy for virtual power plant consistent distributed economic scheduling

Abstract:Toaddress therapid response requirements of virtual power plant economicdispatchand the prevalentneglectof correlation between leader node selectionandconvergence eficiencyin existingresearch,this study proposedatwo-stage improved consensus-based distributed economicdispatch strategy foraccelerating algorithmconvergence.It introducedanimproved K-shell method and a two-layer neighbor optimization term to establish the K* leader node selection method and a twolayerneighbor-optimizedconsensus variableupdate formula.Simulationsandanalyses wereconductedundertwocommunicationtopologies.Results demonstrate that the proposed strategy improves convergence eficiency byapproximately 54% compared with benchmark algorithmsunderboth topologies.Itexhibitssuperior node failurerobustness,load mutationconvergence,plug-and-playcapability,betereconomicperformance,anddistributedadvantages.Theselectedconvergencecoefficient ε proves reasonable,while tolerance μ requires dynamic adjustment based on dispatch accuracy requirements. The twostageimproved strategyefectivelyenhances convergence eficiencywhilemaintaining plug-and-playcapability,economicbenefits,distributedcharacteristics,androbustness,making itsuitableforvirtualpowerplanteconomicdispatch scenarios.
