Relationship between CT-quantified visceral fat content and postoperative outcomes of robot-assisted radical gastrectomy： a propensity score matching analysis

AbstractObjectiveToinvestigateteimpactofvisceralfatcontentonshort-temoutomesfollowingobot-asistedradicalgastrectomy forgastriccancer.Methods：Clincalandpreoperaieimagingdataof597patientsounderentoboasistedradicalgtctoyat GansuProvincialHospitafromJanuary17toNvember23ereretrospectivelyaalyzd.VisceralFatArea（VFA）wascalculatedusing Slice-O-Matic.war.odingto“bsieateddseassiteablshdyJanSocietyfortStudyfOsity（AO）， patients with visceral obesity were defined as those with a VFA⩾100cm2 .Patients were divided into the high-visceral-fat （ VFA≥100cm2 ） groupandthew-viseral-fat group.Baselineharacteristsadjustmentwaspefordusingpropesitysorematchinganalysistocopare theasociatioendifetialvisalfaasandostopatieitabdoialifosopasaogpatitsodet robot-istedaicalgastretoyforgastricancer.Results：Amonge97patients，O9patietsredividedintoteigvisalfat groupand388intothelow-visceral-fatgroup.Aftermathing，209patientswereinludedinachgroup.Comparedtotelow-visealfat group，eiaodldoidd hospitaltaydioallgsral-fatgoudiicantlygheroeralloptiatedtaadalieit 0 P <0.05）.Howeeaisalesediopiestricndmoyetisbl bleeding，intestinal obstruction，or severe complications （Clavien-Dindo grade ⩾II a） between the two groups /P>0.05 ）.Conclusion：Visceral fatontentasaooacfosdalstigalfately affectingostopativeoveryadompaiiss.QuaiatieessentofviscealfatotetbyompesiCsaisf greatsignfcaciepreoperativeevaluatofobotassteddicalstreoyfoscncandaprovideavaableec for clinical decision-making.
