Abstract：Guishuxin No.1 isa newcultivar of waxgourd F1 hybridwith female parentYLo4-7and maleparent BH93-13-3-1.I SouthChina，the whole growth periodisapproximately120days when planted inspring，andabout100 days insummer-autumn.Thefruitdevelopmentperiodis35-4days.Itgrowsvigorouslyanditisheat-tolerant，relativelycold-tolerant，andissensitive tosunburn.Theskinofthe maturefruitisdark green，smoth，inalong-cylindrical shape. The fruit is 75.85cm in length， 20-22cm in width and 5.6cm inflesh thickness. It has a small core cavity， dense flesh，and is resistant to storage and transportation.The content of vitamin C is 21.0mg⋅100g-1 ，total sugar content is 2.39g⋅100g-1 ，total acidscontent is 0.61g⋅kg-1 ，amino acids content is 310mg⋅100g⋅1 （amongwhich glutamatecontent is up to 204mg⋅100g-1 ），protein content is 0.47g⋅100g-1 ， crude fiber content is 0.5% ，which indicates the cultivar has excellent quality. The single fruit mass is about 15.0kg ，and theaverageyieldisabout 9 000.0kg per 667m2 It is suitable for planting in all wax gourd producing areas of China.
