Comprehensive evaluation of pepper varieties in Hangjinhouqi, Inner Mongolia

Abstract:Toidentifyhighquality,igh-yieldingchilipeppervarietiessuitableforpromotioninHangjinhouqi,Byanur city,andsimilarecologicalregions,therebyadvancing thehigh-qualitydevelopmentofthelocalchili industry.This study comprehensivelyevaluated2Ochili pepper varieties introducedfromHunan,Sichuan,and Tianjinbasedonthredimensions: yield,quality,andeconomic valueusingcorrelationanalysisand themembershipfunctionanalysis method. Theresults indicated that there were significant variations among certain pepper varieties in yieldandquality.Among them,Jinhong No.9,Chuan-19,and Chuan-112 demonstrated good yields of 41.82t⋅hm-2 ,44.11 t⋅hm-2 ,and 39.82t⋅hm-2 respectivelymakingthemsuitableforpromotionashigh-yield,high-efiiencyvarieties.Basedonthemarketconditions forchilipepper thatyear,JinHong9,Xiang-77,andChuan-12yieldedrelativelyhighoutputvaluesof1170o,000, and 103500Yuan⋅hm-2 ,respectively.Chuan-22-225,Xiang-762,and Chuan-474 performed well in nutritional quality, withvitamin C content exceeding 1000mg⋅kg-1 and carotenoid content reaching over 39.0mg⋅kg-1 .These varieties representpromising candidates for developing functional and procesing-type chilicultivars.Overall,Jinhong No.9,Chuan-19,and Xiang-762ranked top threeinthecomprehensive evaluationof membershipfunctionanalysis,demonstrating strongadaptabilityand marketpotential.Theyarerecommendedasprimarypeppercultivars for Hangjinhouqi and similar ecological regions.
