Abstract：DorisLessing'sToRoomNineteenandAliceMunro'sTheOfcereveal thesurvivalpredicamentofwomeninfamily andsocialspacesthroughspatialsymbolssuchas"room"and"ofice"，thatis，theclosednatureoffamilyspaceandtheexclusioary natureof socialspacejintlysuppress women'ssubjectivity.Fromtheperspectivesofsatialpoeticsandfeministthorythoughclose readingndcomparativestudyofthetexts，itisfoundthatSusanseeksspiritualfreedominanextremewaywhilethe""iTheOfficedemonstratesesliencebysrivingfortheighttoseak.Infact，thsetworeflectdiferentstrategiesforwomentobreaktough inapatriarchalsocietyediferenesineprotagonistspathsofrsistancearealsoifuencedbytheinterweavingofsoialcon textandtepersonalcircumstanesof thewriters.Theresearchaims torevealthepredicamentofwomen'ssubjectivitycostruction， withthehopeofprovidingtheoreticalreferencesforcontemporarywomentobreak throughteinvisibleshacklesofspatialdiscipline.
