Abstract：PlantChemicalProtectionisacorerequiredcourseforplantprotectionmajorsinGuizhou University.Itincludes theoreticalcoursesandexperimentalcourses，coveringpestidentificationandscientificandrationaluseofpesticides.However， undertheNewAgricultural ScienceInitiative，thetraditionalPlantChemicalProtectionlaboratorycurriculumfaceschallnges suchasteachingcontentlaggingbehindindustrydevelopment，insuffcientsupportforpracticalcomponents，andaweak mechanismforfosteringinnovativeabilites.TometthetalentcultivationdemandsoftheNewAgriculturalScience，thispaper exploresteachingreformsfromperspectivesincludingteachingobjectives，content，methodology，andasessmentsystems.By optimizingexperimentalprojectdesign，introducingvirtualsimulationtechnologyandcase-basedteaching，strengtheninguiversity industrycollborationandpracticaltrainingbaseonstruction，andestablishingadiversifedasessmentmechanism，theefor aimstoenhance students’practicalabilties，researchliteracy，andcomprehensivecapacity，soastosolvecomplexagricultural problems.Practicehasdemonstratedasignificantimprovementinteachingefectivenessprovidingareferenceforthereformof courses related to plant protection under the New Agricultural Science framework.
