Investigation into Organophosphorus Pesticide Residues in Vegetables and DietaryRisk Assessment

Abstract:Byanalyzing thedataof vegetable supervision and sampling in Jining Administration forMarket Regulation from2022 to2O23,thestatusoforganophosphorus pesticideresidues invegetables was investigated,andthehealth risks of people's exposure to organophosphorus pesticides through dietary intake wereassessed.Atotal of 57 batches of unqualifiedorganophosphorus pesticides were detected in 3489 batches of vegetables,and the overallunqualified ratewas 1.63% .Theunqualified samples included1l varieties of7vegetable categories,including bulb vegetables, brasicavegetables,leafyvegetables,olanaceousvegetables,melonvegetables,legumevegetables,rootvegetables,a well as potato and taro vegetables.Among them,cowpea (unqualified rate 5.22% ),leek (unqualified rate 4.07% ,celery (unqualified rate 3.85% )were the three vegetables with the highest number of non-compliant results.In addition,the 9 kindsofunqualifiedorganophosphorus pesticides found tobenon-compliant wereallprohibited(restricted) pesticides forvegetables.Itcanbe seen thattheexcessiveabuseoforganophosphorus pesticides invegetables sold inJining city is very seriousand deserves attention.The acute/chronic dietary risk assessmentof pesticides found that dimethoate, omethoateandtriazophos incowpea,omethoate incommoncabbage,phorateandomethoate inleek,andotherresults were unacceptable and needed to be monitored by market supervision departments.
