Research on the Coupling and Coordination between Digital Economy and High-Quality Development of Manufacturing Industry

—ACase Study of Guangxi Zhuang AutonomousRegion WANG Shengnan XUE Mingjie （School of Economics and Management，Nanning Normal University，Nanning 53O299， China）

Abstract： [Purposes] Taking Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region as an example，this paper analyzes the coupling coordination relationship between the digital economy and the high-quality development of themanufacturing industry and its influencing factors，aiming to reveal the intrinsic mechanisms and obstacles to their synergistic development，and to provide a theoretical basis and policy references for promoting high-quality regional economic development.[Methods] This study constructs an evaluation index system for both the digital economy and high-quality development of manufacturing in Guangxi. Using a coupling coordination degree model，it calculates the coupling coordination degree between these two systems from 2011 to 2021. Furthermore，an Ordinary Least Squares （OLS）regression model is employed to identify the relevant influencing factorsand quantify their impact.[Findings] The coupling and coordination level between the digital economy and the high-quality development of the manufacturing industry in prefecture-level cities of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region is generally low.Among the factors，human capital and technological level have a significant promoting effect on it; urban economic density and foreign investment dependence also have certain positive impacts，while government intervention shows an inhibitory effect.[Conclusions] Guangxi should accurately grasp the development trends and patterns of the digital economy，fully implement the new development philosophy，give full play to the leading role of advantageousareas to promotesynergistic development，actively implement talent introduction policies，and optimize the relationship between the government and the market.These measures are essential to further narrow regional disparities and thereby drive the comprehensive and coordinated development of the digital economy and high-quality manufacturing.
