Research progress and hotspot analysis of domestic pumped storage basedonCiteSpace

Abstract: [Purposes] This study aims to elucidate the research evolution and emerging frontiers in the field of pumped storage energy within China.[Methods] A bibliometric analysis and systematic review were performed on 2,173 articles sourced from the China National Knowledge Infrastructure(CNKI) 5 types such as SCI and EI core journal database utilizing the CiteSpace software.[Findings] The findings indicate an exponential growth in 1992—2O24 annual publications,suggesting that this field is currently experiencing rapid development in China.The core research contributions are primarily from institutions such as State Grid Xinyuan Holdings Co.,Ltd.and Hohai University,with scholars like Zhou Jianzhong and Feng Yanmin at the forefront,forming a closely-knit collaborative network.The research primarily focuses on equipment instruments (including unit fault diagnosis and pump- turbine transition process), power station construction (encompassing upper reservoir design and underground plant rock stability), and service applications (ranging from two-part tariffto new energy systems). Emerging areas of focus include the transformation of abandoned mines,variable speed unit optimization,and the coordinated scheduling of new energy sources.[Conclusions] Future research in this domain should prioritize enhanced interdisciplinary integration, with a focused exploration of applying.
