Decoupling Control of Virtual Impedance and Damping for Grid-FormingStaticVarGenerator

Abstract: [Purposes] With the increasing proportion of new energy in power systems,stability issues caused by insufficient inertia and altered damping characteristics in microgrid systems have become increasingly prominent.This paper proposes a decoupling control method based on virtual impedance optimization.[Methods] First, the virtual impedance and decoupling control strategy of grid-forming SVG are thoroughly studied,a detailed mathematical model is established,and the intrinsic mechanism of power coupling is analyzed. Second, virtual impedance parameters are further optimized to reshape the overall system impedance,thereby suppressing high-frequency resonance and other issues.[Findings] The proposed method effectively reduces the coupling between active and reactive power, significantly improving the operational stability and power decoupling performance of grid-forming SVG in complex grid environments.[Conclusions]This method can enhance the system's ability to accommodate new energy, optimize dynamic performance, and provide strong technical support for subsequent research and engineering applications related to stability in new energy power systems.
