Study on Sealing Performance of Large-Dimensional Flared Tube Conical Connections

Abstract: [Purposes] This study investigates the sealing performance of flared tube connections with dimensions larger than those recommended by standards,aiming to provide guidance for large-size flared tube conical connections.[Methods] A simulation model of a typical large-size conical tube connection is established,and the contact pressure and contact width under different preload forces are analyzed. [Findings] The simulation results indicate that the large-size flared tube connection can still achieve appropriate contact pressure and contact width,ensuring sealing performance.[Conclusions] The research on the sealing performance of large-size flared tube conical connections broadens the application scenarios of this connection type and lays the foundation for its use in automotive,aviation,aerospace, and other fields.
