Abstract:Inorderto improve the water storage efect of water conservancy projects,metakaolin wasusedas a clay materialand compounded with hydroxypropylmethylceluloseand Tianjing vegetable gum to preparecellulose/clayanti-leakage materialsandvegetable gum/clayanti-leakage materials,and their properties were studied.Theresultsshowed that theaddition of hydroxypropyl methylcellloseand vegetable gum totheanti-leakage materialscould increase their particle size and make them have the ability to prevent leakage.When theanti -leakage materials were prepared with 0.6% cellulose and 1.0% vegetable gum,the water seepage rate was basically 0.00% at 900 h,and the water quality was good for30 days.The pH valueswere7.20and7.28,the CODMn were 3.315and2.744 mg/L,the ammonia nitrogen contents were 0.352andO.375mg/L,andtheturbiditywere2.241and2.018NTU,respectively.Moreover,the3O-daystorage water quality reached the relevant national standards,and the storage efect was beter than that of HDPE geomembrane, which has certain potential value in the application of water conservancy engineering.
