Abstract：Acordingtothestoragemodeoftabledata，relationaldatabasecanbedivided intorow-orienteddatabaseand column-oriented database，whicharesuitableforonlinetransaction procesingandstatisticalanalysisscenariosrespectively.A databasewithasingle storage mode is diffcult tomeet the performancerequirementsofbothonline transactionprocessingand complex statitical queries.This papercomparesandanalyzesthearchitectureandcharacteristicsofrow-oriented andcolumnoriented databases，and studies howthe“dual-mode”storage architectureof In-Memorycolumn storage technology enables Oracle database tosupportbothrow storage and column storage.Through practical applicationand performance test verification， this technologycan significantly improve the performance of statistical queries while maintaining the eficiencyof online transaction processing.
