Abstract： Since theadvent of the Software Defined Network （SDN），theconceptof separating the control plane from the data plane hasatracted extensiveattention inthenetworkfield.Inorder toensurethefuencyofhigh-priorityvideoservices during network congestion，this paper designs a videoaccelerator based onsoftware definedresourcereservationandapplies ittodistributedvideoconferencing.Whentheoverallnetworkbandwidthisinsuficienttoensurehigh-qualitytransmisionof allvideo streams，serviceproviders canreserve bandwidthforspecificvideo services through the payment mechanismof video accelerators，therebyensuring networkQualityofService（QoS），improvingend-to-end videoqualityandimprovingend-user experience.Experiments showthattheschemecanreserve bandwidthforspecificvideostreamsthrough SDN，andsignificantly improve video streamquality and user experience.
