Abstract:Inthedigitalage,Weiboasanimportantsocialmediaplatformwithauserscaleof598millon,hasbecomeone ofthe mainchannels forcollegestudents toexpress theirviewsandemotions.Thepurposeof thisstudyis toexplorehowtouse theWeiboplatfotocaryoutpublicopinionmonitoringandaalysisincollegesanduniversities,iordertoprovidetielyand efectiveinformation supportanddecision-makingreference forcollgesanduniversitiesmanagers.Through theconstruction ofa Weibopublicopinionmonitoring system,theresearchreveals theemotional tendencyandtopic distributioncharacteristics of publicopinion incolleges anduniversities throughdatacollection,cleaning preprocessng,sentiment analysisand topic modeling,soas toprovidedecisionsupportforcollgesanduniversitiesmanagement.Theresultsshowthatcampus management issuesareeasytocause negativepublicopiion,anditisecessrytoestablishadynamic mechanismof“monitoring-aingresponse”,so as to provide decision-making basis for digital governance of colleges and universities.
