Abstract：Inthe fieldofsafetysupervision，accuratedetectionandrecognitionofheadand helmet status isveryimportant to ensure thesafetyof personel.This paper develops ahelmet detectionand recognition systembased on YOLOv10 model andPyQt5.Bycollecting，preprocessng，labelingand splitting alarge numberof imagedata，theYOLOv10model is trained to haveexcelentaccracyperformance inthe helmet detection task.Atthesametime，PyQt5isusedtodesignafeature-rich userinterfacetorealizefunctionssuchasimagedetection，videodetectionandreal-timecameradetection，andtoconduct acomprehensive testandverificationofthesystem.The system provides eficientandaccurate technical supportforsafety supervision， which has important practical significance and application value.
