Abstract: The Normalized Diference Vegetation Index (NDVI) can quantitatively reflect the growth status and coverage degreeofsurface vegetation.From2O03to 2020,theurbanization processof Guiyangand thepolicyofreturning farmlandto forestwereadvancedsimultaneouslyherefore,itisofgeatsignificance tounderstandtheinterannualandspatial-temporal changesofvegetationcoveragedegreeinGuiyang inrecent years.Inthis paper,theannualaverageNDVIdatasynthesizedfrom theNDVIdata withaspatialresolutionof250meters providedbythe MOD13Q1datasetisadopted.TheinterannualNDVItrend changesandtheirsignificanceinGuiyang from2O03to2O20aredetectedbytheSen-MKmethod.Theresearchresultsshowthat theNDVI inGuiyangshowsanoverallupwardtrendfrom2003 to2020.ItsNDVIvaluefluctuatesbetween0.40and0.55,with an average growth rateof0.003 peryear.The averageannual NDVIin Guiyang reaches the maximum value of0.55 n 2016. Theaverage annual NDVIreaches its minimum valueof 0.40 in 20o5.Meanwhile,theNDVIvalues in theurban areas and their vicinityarerelativelylowandshowslightdegradation.
