Abstract： Underthebackgroundofrapiddevelopmentof Information Technology，the process of informatization in the feldofopewayengineeringhasbenaccelerated，buttheexistinginformationmodelcannolongermettheurgentndsof ropeway intellgent，precise and safe management.Therefore，this paper proposes the concept ofRIM （Ropeway Information Model），disuesteyologiestaleonstructsopeesedtematiccecturedl the applicationprospects ofRIMinthe whole lifecycle managementof ropeways.Through the integrationand aplicationof RIMandutigdgetechologiesschsInteetofings，igataArtifcialInteigeceitproidesbasicdatapportfor the design，construction，completion，operationand maintenance，andupgradingofropeways.Anditlays thefoundationforthe extensive application of inteligent operation and maintenance， safety monitoring and other aspects ofropeways.
