Abstract: Channel amplitude and phase eror correction ensures the high-precision beamforming and signal processing of PhasedArrayRadar (PAR)systems,significantlyimprovingradar performance.Channelamplitudeandphaseerorcorrection is achieved through equalizers.Thecore issueof errorcoectionishow todesign theequalizer effcientlyandaccurately.To addressthe problemof determining theorderof the equalizer,this paper proposes asimple frequency-domainequalizererror evaluationmethodByestimatingtheerrorbetweena givenequalizerandtheideal equalizer,the methodquicklyapproximates thecorrectionerrorsforequalizersofdiferentorders,allowingfortheevaluationoftheirperformance.Basedontherequired corrctin eror,the appropriate equalizer ordercanbe selected.Furthermore,this paper presents anequalizer design method basedon frequency-domain error minimizationcriteria,which isusedtodesigntheresponseofanequalizer withagivenlength. Simulation experiments show thatthe proposed equalizer design methodcan eficiently determinethe equalizer order and outperforms traditional frequency-domain design methods.
