Detection of Fluoroquinolone Residues in Black-Boned Chicken Using High-Performance Liquid Chromatography

Abstract: A high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) method was established for detecting residues offourfluoroquinolones in black-boned chicken.Thechicken samples were minced, homogenized, andextracted using a phosphate bufer solution, followed by purification with solid-phase extraction columns. The analytes were then quantified via HPLC.Results showed that under optimal experimental conditions, the linear relationships for ciprofloxacin, danofloxacin, enrofloxacin, andsarafloxacin were excellent, with correlation coficients R2 ) exceeding 0.999. The method demonstrated detection limits of 0.474 6μg⋅kg-1 to 4.849μg⋅kg-1 and quantification limits of 0.943 6μg⋅kg-1 to 10.070μg⋅kg-1 for the four target analytes. At three spiked concentration levels, the average recoveries of the four fluoroquinolones ranged from 80.38% to 101.70% ,with relative standard deviations between 0.46% to 1.52% .These findings indicate that the method is accurate, sensitive, and reliable, meeting the requirements for veterinary drug residue analysis. It provides a technical reference for detecting restricted and banned fluoroquinolones in animal-derived food products at the grassroots level.
