Research on the Impact of Enterprise Digital Transformation on Green Patent Output from the Perspective of Life Cycle

Abstract:Based on a life cycle perspective，using data from A-shares,listed on the Shanghai and Shenzhen Stock Exchanges，this study employs a two-way fixed effects model to quantitatively analyze the impact of enterprise digital transformation on green patent output and the moderating role of intellectual property protection intensity therein.The results show that：enterprise digital transformation has a significant promoting effect on both the quantity and quality of green patents，and this conclusion remains valid after a series of robustness tests；intellectual property protection intensity plays a positive moderating role between enterprise digital transformation and the quantity of green patents; heterogeneity analysis indicates that the promoting efect of digital transformation on the quantity and quality of green patents is more prominent in state-owned enterprises and non-heavy-polluting enterprises，and intellectual property protection intensity also exhibits a significant positive moderating effect in these two types of enterprises；further research finds that enterprise digital transformation has a promoting effect on green innovation of enterprises in the growth and decline stages.The research conclusions provide decision-making references for the government to improve the intellectual property protection policy system and promote green technological innovation.
