The Impact of Data Assets on Enterprise Innovation：Based on the Perspective of Resource Allocation Efficiency and Senior Management Background

Abstract：In thecontext of the rapidly evolving information Technology，data assets have increasingly becomeacritical strategic resource driving technological innovation in enterprises.This study investigates the impact of data assets on enterprise innovation using a sample of Shanghai and Shenzhen A一 share listed companies from 20l0 to 2022.The empirical results show that data assets significantly enhance firms‘innovation capabilities.Further analysis reveals that this effect is primarily realized through the improvement of resource allocation eficiency.Moreover，the innovation-promoting effect of data assets is more pronounced in firms where executives possess digital backgrounds. These findings not only enrich the theoretical framework of how data assets empower enterprise innovation but also provide practical guidance and policy recommendations for optimizing data asset management and enhancing innovation performance.
