Human-Machine Collaboration and Employee Innovation: The Mediating Mechanism through Leadership Empowermen

Abstract:With the rapid advancement of artificial inteligence technology,human-machine collaboration has emerged as a core agenda in corporate digital and intelligent transformation,though its impact mechanisms on organizational power structures and employee innovation behaviors remain inadequately explored.To investigate the pathways through which human-machine collaborative relationships empower employee innovation,this study constructs a“human-machine collaboration . leadership empowerment→employee innovation”theoretical framework and employs covariance-based structural equation modeling(CB-SEM)for empirical validation.The research indicates that both collaboration and relationships between humans and machines serve as direct catalysts for innovative behavior.Furthermore,leadership empowerment exerts an indirect influence on this behavior by mitigating hierarchical barriers,facilitated through a mediating effect.The study reveals a“co-propulsion mechanism”where human-machine collaboration and leadership empowerment jointly drive innovation,emphasizing that organizations must:establish an“autonomy-diversity-support"based collaborative system;create"highinteraction/low-intrusion”human-machine integration environments;and strengthen leadership empowerment transmission chains.
