Abstract：Deeputilizationof waterresourceshasalwaysbeenthethemeofagriculturaldevelopmentinaridandwaterscarceareas.Howtouse limitedwaterresourcesmoreefectivelywhileprotectingtheecologyisatopicthatneedsusto continuouslyexploreinproductionaplicationsandengineringconstructionMinqinCounty，locatedinthenortheastepartf theHexiCoridor，isoneofthemostaridareasinChinaandatypicalrepresentativeagriculturaliigationareawithagriculture asthemainindustry.ThemainirigationsourcesinthecountyaremotorizedwelsandHongyaMountainReservoir.Duetothe highdegreeofdesertficationaroundtheregionandseriousgroundwaterover-extraction，itisoneoftheimportanttasksin agriculturaldevelopmenttofullyutilizewaterresourcestomaintainbasicagriculturalproductionwhilegraduallyachievingthe goalofreducinggroundwaterextractionandecologicalprotection.Inthispaper，wewillanalyzethefeasibilityofusingdep watersavingmeasurestofullyutlizesurfacewaterresourcesandgraduallyreplacegroundwaterbystudyingthedeepuilization oftheseepagewaterbehindthereservoirdam，inthehopeofprovidingideasandreferencesfortheutilizationofwater resources in similar arid and water-scarce areas.
