Abstract:Thisstudycomprehensivelyanalyzesthepetrologicalcharacteristics,physicalproperties,andspatialdistributionof theLowerShiheziFormationtoexplorethecontrolingfactorsofreservoirproperties.Themineralcompositionisdominatedby lithicfragmentsandquartzaompaniedbyvariouscaymineralssuchasiltesmectitemixedlayers,chloriteandaolinite.he target formation exhibits an average porosity of 7 . 9 1 % andan averagepermeability of6.75 mD,with a positive correlation. Diageneticprocesesarecharacterizedbywidespreadandintensecompaction,alongwithcementationprimarilybysilicaand carbonate.ThediageneticevolutionhasprogressdthroughseveralstagesfromearlydiagenesisAtomiddlediagenesisB, currentlyatthemidlediagenesisBstage.Regardingdepositionalcontrols,box-shapedandsawtoth-boxshapedreservois demonstrate higher storage potential, whereas funnel-shaped reservoirs perform poorly.
