Abstract: [Purposes]To improve the ventilation eficiency in the construction of the underground powerhouse of a pumped storage power station,enhance the working environment,and safeguard the health ofconstruction personnel,this study proposes the application of an inteligent ventilation system during the construction process.[Methods] The system optimizes the underground construction environment by automatically adjusting air volumeand monitoring air quality inreal time.It integrates advanced intelligent ventilation technology with an online crowd health monitoring system and is equipped with pollutant concentration sensors to collect real-time data on airflow conditions and pollutant concentrations within the underground powerhouse.Furthermore,through the site monitoring center and a WeChat mini-program, managers can promptly stay informed about changes in the air quality inside the tunnel and make dynamic adjustments accordingly.[Findings]Theapplicationof the inteligentventilation system reduced the time required for airquality to meet standards after blastingby 20% ,increased ventilation efficiencyby four times,and lowered energy consump
