Design of Python-Based WeatherModification Operation Information Reporting Tool

Abstract: [Purposes] The weather modification ammunition and equipment IoT system,supported by the China Meteorological Administration's small-scale operational project "Application Demonstration of Whole-Process Monitoring for Weather Modification Operation Equipment and Ammunition," has achieved standardized and automated real-time monitoring and management of the entire process of equipment and ammunition.Acritical step in the operational phase requires ground-level operators to use the IoT system's handheld terminals to scan and report operational ammunition.Due to the complex composition of ground-level operation teams, ensuring that operators are proficient and accurate in reporting information presents certain challenges for widespread adoption.Therefore,this study investigates the application and process optimization of the weather modification ammunition and equipment IoT system and designs a Python-based tool for reporting weather modification operation information.[Methods] This paper summarizes common issues encountered in practical business applications and provides corresponding solutions. It thoroughly reviews the operational information reporting process.By analyzing the HTTP network request messages of the IoT system,the information reporting process is optimized into two parts: "user-initiated operation" and "backend automatic processing."A rapid reporting tool for routine operational information was developed using the Python programming language.[Findings] This tool only requires users to input limited,essential information based on prompts.The backend can then batch process and quickly complete the review and reporting of operational information.Simultaneously, it can provide fault diagnosis and guidance for common IoT system configuration errors.[Conclusions] This tool simplifies the process of reporting routine operational information, reduces the learning curve for ground-level operators,and effectively enhances the adoption rate of the IoT system at the grassroots level.
