Study on the Influence of Column Bracing on Lateral Stiffness and Stability of Foundation Pit Trestle Bridge

Abstract: [Purposes] In foundation pit engineering with complex surrounding environments,trestle bridges are often constructed to meet the requirements of material stacking and construction vehicle traffic.However,current Chinese specifications for foundation pits stillprovide limited guidance on trestle bridge design and construction.This study focuses on the column bracing system of foundation pit trestle bridges.[Methods] Using ANSYS,a structural simulation model was established to compare the lateral stiffness of structures with diferent column bracing arrangements.The influence of column bracing on structural buckling load was analyzed,and optimal bracing positions were investigated.[Findings] The results demonstrate that column bracing reduces lateral displacement of the trestle bridge by more than 18% and increases buckling load by more than 24% , indicating that proper column bracing arrangement can effectively enhance both lateral stiffnessand stabilityof trestle bridges in acost-effectiveand convenient manner.[Conclusions] The findings provide valuable references for engineering practice.
