AnalysisofVibration CharacteristicsofHeavySemi-TrailerFrame under Three Road Conditions

Abstract: [Purposes] This study aims to analyze the vibration characteristics of a heavy-duty semitrailer frame under three typical driving conditions.[Methods] Modal analysis was performed using ANSYS WorkBench finite element software to systematically determine the first six-order natural frequencies and corresponding mode shapes of the frame under full-load bending,full-load torsion,and full-load combined (bending-torsion) conditions.Based on the modal results,harmonic response analysis was further conducted to investigate the stress distribution and displacement response characteristics of the frame under dynamic excitation.[Findings] The results indicate that under the full-load bending condition,the frame exhibiteda first-order natural frequencyof71.30 Hz,demonstrating effctive resistance to resonance.However,significant resonance risks were observed near the first three natural frequencies under the full-load torsion condition and near the first four natural frequencies under the fullload combined condition. Notably,the maximum stress occurred at 22 Hz in the torsion condition,while the maximum displacement was observed at 12 Hz in the combined condition.[Conclusions] These findings provide an important theoretical foundation for the optimal design of the frame structure.
