Abstract: What kind of students are we supposed to build up through general education? With such a question in our mind, we analyzed the definition and the origin of general education to built this curriculum. This paper discussed the teaching methods of general education through the course of Differences Between Chinese and Japanese Traditional Festivals and Cultures. We applied the concept of STEAM to our teaching process, and built a classroom teaching structure thinking concept and new concept teaching mode. We introduced Task Responsibility System,  Hierarchical Management and Incentive Assessment System into the course. As a result, the students were strongly involved and the interaction between students and teacher swent deeper. Students enjoyed the course, which reached the original objectives of general education,and we also successfully provided a kind of thinking method, which can establish a good start for students live study.
