Abstract:Inorderto investigate theeffectsofdiferentcultivationmodesonthegrowthandqualityofamaranth(Amaranthus tricolorL.),threeamaranthvarieties,i.e.,Qianhongyuanye(A1),Hongliuye(A2),andXianggangzhongdahongyuanye(A3),werecultivatedinfieldunderthreedifferentmodes,i.e.,baresoil(M1),smallarchshedcoveredwith nylon net(M2),andsmallarch shed covered with plastic film(M3).Aseries of parameters regarding growthand quality ofamaranthereanalyzed,incudingplantheight,stemdameter,yieldaswellastheontentoftate,iamiCol ble sugar,soluble protein,andtotal fre amino acid in leaves.The membership function method was used to comprehensively evaluateandanalyzethemeasuredvalues.Theresultsshowedthatfacility-asistedcultivation(M2orM3)significantlypromotedthe growthandincreasedtheyieldcomparedwithM1,withM3showingthebestefect.Specifically,te yieldsofA1,A2,andA3underM3were increased by 71.16% 275.43% ,and 147.47% compared with those under M1, respectively.The membership functionmethod showedthe highest comprehensive evaluation value on the combinationof M3A2,folowed by M3A3,M2A3,and M1A3.However,under M3cultivation mode,the nitrate content of A2 and A3 were 800.98 and 764.46mg⋅kg-1 ,respectively,making them categorized in middle/severe contamination level according to the hygiene standards.Under M2 cultivation mode,the nitrate content ofA3 was only 268.80mg⋅kg-1 ,allowing for being eatenraw.Therefore,facility-asisted cultivation(M2orM3)was superiorforamaranth withsignificantlyincreased yieldcomparedtothebaresoilcultivation(M1).Moreover,amaranthA3undertheM2cultivationmodewasthebest planting strategy which can be further promoted in Guangdongarea.
