河南鄢陵甜瓜与辣椒露地套种栽培萎蔫性病害鉴定

Abstract:Toclarifythecauses of widespread wilting and roting of plants and fruits in the intercropping systemof thin-skinned melonand pepper inYanling,Henanprovince,this studycolected typicaldiseased melonand pepperplants, as wellasrotenfruits,fromtheaffectedareas.Thepathogenwasisolated,inoculated,ande-isolated.hroughoho logicalbservation,pathogenicitytests,ndmolecularidentification,thepathogenasfoundtoexhibitcharactersticfeaturesof Phytophthora spp.,includinghyphae,sporangia,andsporangiospores.Inoculation experiments demonstratedthat the pathogencaused water-soaked brown lesionson melonand pepperplants andled to water-soaked lesions and white mold-like growth on infected fruits.Molecular analysis ofthe ITS sequenceconfirmedthepathogen as Phytophthora capsici.Furthermore,aplateconfrontationassayrevealedthattheBacilusvelezensisstrain78-2significantlyinhibitedthe growth of P. capsici colonies,indicating itsantagonistic activity against thepathogen.This study identified Phytophthora blightasthecauseoflarge-scalewiltingandrotingin Yanling’smelonandpeppercropsandprovidedtheoreticalsupport forarlydiagnosisandcontrolofPhytophthorablightinmelonandpepper,oferingcriticalinsightsfor thesustainabledevelopment of the melon and pepper industry.
