Abstract:To investigate theeffctsofdiffrent interlayer spacings inH-typecultivationracksonthegrowthanddevelopment of fruit vegetable,this study employed two cultivation models:Tomato(lower layer) + pepper(upper layer)and cucumber(lower layer) + pepper(upper layer).Three interlayer height gradients 120cm 140cm ,and 160cm wereset, andparametersincludinggrowth,photosynthetic,yield,andqualityofthethreevegetablesweremeasuredtodetermine the optimal interlayer spacing for H-type double-layer cultivation.The results showed that in the tomato+pepper model, interlayer spacingsof 140cm and 160cm resulted in higherplant height,stemdiameter,and yield forboth theupper and lower layer vegetables. The 160cm treatment demonstrated better improvements in photosynthetic pigment content, photosynthetic characteristics,and quality. In the cucumber+pepper model, the 140cm spacing exhibited comprehensive advantages.In this treatment, the cucumber yield in the lower layer was 10.76% higher than the 120cm treatment, with no significant difference from the 160cm treatment. The fruit vitamin C and soluble sugar content increased by 22.14% and 20.22% ,respectively.Meanwhile, the vitamin C content of the upper pepper layer increased by 49.62% ,and the nitrate nitrogen accumulation increased by 37.75% .Economic analysis showed that the 140cm spacing resulted in the highest net profit. In conclusion,a 140cm inter layer spacing optimizes the light environment,crop productivity,and economic returns,providing valuable technicalparametersfor facility-based vertical cultivationoffruitvegetables.
