Investigation and evaluation of macrofungi resources in Xianfeng County,Hubei Province

AbstractTo investigate the diversity of macrofungal resourcesand evaluate their economic value in Xianfeng County,Hubei Province,a combination of randomsurvey,morphological and molecular biological methods was used to identify macrofungi,and thedominantfamiliesand genera,conservation status,andfloristic geographical elements were analyzed.Theresultsshowed thata totalof52 macrofungal species were identified,belonging to2phyla,28families, and 44 genera,including 13 newrecords of macrofungi in Hubei Province; there were4 dominantfamilies (with ⩾3 species),namely Agaricaceae,Psathyrellaceae,Omphalotacae,and Polyporaceae,among which the family with the highest numberof specieswasPolyporaceae;2dominant genera (with≥3 species),namelyGymnopus and Ganoderma; there were9edible fungi,1O medicinal fungi,5edible-medicinal fungi,2Chinese endemic species,and1nearthreatened species (Ganoderma applanatum)；the floristic geographical composition of genera was dominated by cosmopolitan genera, accounting for 81.82% .This study provided a reference for the conservation of fungal diversity and the sustainable utilization of resources in relevant areas.
