Abstract：Thispaperisdivided intothreeparts，providingabrief introduction totheJapanesescholarAdachi Kirokuandhis workResearchontheHstoricalSitesofChang'an.irstlyipresentsanoverviewofdachiKirokuslifeandacademicaciev ments.Secondlyitlboratesontewitingprocs，aiotent，searchetodsandademicievemetsofeserchote HistoricalSitesofChang'n.Theresearchmethodsusedincludethemethodofcomparingchartsanddata，aswellaslistingtieand placeforcomparisonandinductio.Tirdlyitdetailstheaslation，introductioadresearchatusofReseachntheHstorical SitesofChang'aninChina.TheconlusionisdrawnthatAdachiKirokusResearchontheHistoricdSitesofChanganisnotnlythe mostrepresentativeachievementinthisindofresearchintharlyOthcenturybutalsoasipoantreferencevaluefortesubsequentarchaeologicalresearchonChang'anCityandthedevelopmentofhistorical，geographicalandculturalresearchinthe Chang'aregion.Currntl，tsorkhasreevedrelativelylitleatentionfroChinseacademiccirsandfurtherin-depthesearch is needed.
