Abstract：Inordertoimprovetheeducationandteachinglevelofhorticultureeducationmajorsinlocalundergraduate normalcoleges，improvestudentspracticalskillsandcomprehensivequalityandcultivatestudentsinovativeawarensand entrepreneurialability.Basedontheresultsofquestionnairesandinterviews，thispapercomprehensivelyanalyzestheteaching statusofhorticultureeducationandputsforwardtargetedimprovementsuggestions.Curiculum-basedideologicalandpolitical educationthoughtsshouldbeincreased，teachingcontentshouldbeupdated，evaluationmethodsshouldbediversifiedand diversified，"promotingteachingthroughcompetitions，integratingcompetitionsandteaching""linkageofthreeindustries， integrationofagricultureandtourism"，strengtheningtheconstructionofof-campuspracticebases，teachingteamsandteaching venues，andincreasinginvestmentinteachingfunds，inordertoprovideacertainreferenceforimprovingtheteachingeffectof horticulture education.
