Abstract： In view of the problem of insufficient coupler strength caused by unsynchronized braking during mutual rescue of EMUs，taking CR400BF to rescue CRH2A coupled mutiple units as an example，this paper studies the coupling force generated by the harsh working conditions of“front puling and rear braking”and “front braking and rear pushing”in the rescue process，and discusses the release of braking when the coupler strength does not meet the rescue requirements，and conducts a verification test on real vehicle.
