Between Stillness and Movement： Digital Image Transcoding of Traditional Chinese Painting Aesthetics

Abstract：TraditionalChinesepaintinghasestablishedadistinctiveEasternvisualsystemwithaestheticcharacteristicssuchas “brushworkandinkcharm”，“vividspiritandrht”，“blankspaceandvirtual-realcontrast”，and“scateredperspective”.However， inthecontemporarydigitalmediaenvironent，traditioalpaintingfceslimitatiosduetots“static”and“material”nature.Howtocon nectwiththe“dynamic”“mmersive”and“interactive”languageofdigitalimageryhasbecomeanimportanttopicinthefieldofartnddesign.Focusingonteorisseof“betwenstinsadmovement"，ispperexplorsthtraslationmehanimoftradiialainting aestheticstodigitaliageryByeamngtorsofCinsepaintigsttsndtetisticnguageofdigitaliageylogi typicalases（suchasteamLab’sdynamicink-washworksandtheAThousandLiofRversandMountains3.Odigitalimmersiveeibition），thisstudyaalyesowdigitalimageryusesarticlesstems，projectionmapping，ndimmesivenarativestecostuct“the rhythmofbrushandink”，“theflowofspiritandrhythm”，and“thesenseof timeandspace”intraditionalpainting.Thestudyfindsthat digitalimageryanndotraditioalpaintingwithnewdimensiosofdisemiationandodesofexpereneachievingadyamicalance between“til”d“ment，utarsteisofecessve“speacularatio”an“supefalitise apathforcrossediaastetictraslation，wichivolespreseingthespiritalcoeof“stiless”intradiioalpintingileeten dingitsculturalvitalitythrough“dynamic”technologicalmeans，withtheaimofprovidingreferencesforthedevelopmentofdigital media art.
