Abstract：TheXinhaiRevolutionoverthrewthefeudalmonarchy，butpoliticaltransformationinthenorthwesternfrontieregiosdidot followthecolpseoftimperalsmTe“Jimi（LosRein）”sstfrotedasticrapsistdinXjang.Tsstleal basisstemmedfromth“righttobestowingonors”grantedtotheprovisionalpresidentbytheProvisionalConstitutionoftheRepublicof China，whileeingonstrainedytentralgoverent’sweakessinonsoidatingfrontieregiosduringthatperiodIntealyepublicanra，YuanShikaiextensivelygrantedhereditarytilesinteorthwesternfrontier.Tecentralgovermentperpetuatedthe“Jimi （Loose-ein）”systembymaintainingtheanualpilgrimagesystem，recogniinghreditarytitles，andpreservingtheauthorityfethic minorityprincesAlthoughthissstemservedasaprovisioalmeasureforfrotierintegratioundertecntralgovementsieapac ity，itsdirectppacheatdoporfofnowrsttefeeifrotesverhitsfuctoda transitionalstrategyagastlocalseparatism，plaingasigcantroleinmaintaiingnationaluityduringChina’smodetrasfoatio.
