[Abstract]Pyroptosis isaformofcelldeathorchestratd bycysteinylaspartatespecificproteinase (Caspase)andcarriedout throughthecleavageofthecellmembranebygasderminDfollowingstimulationbypathogenicmicroorganismsorendogenousdanger signals,culminatingincellmembraneruptureandthereleaseofinflammatorymediators.Lupusnephitis(L)isaseriousconse quenceofsystemiclupuseryhematosus,haracterizedbytheaccumulationofimmunecomplexesintekidneys,esultingininflamtoryreactionsandcellarinjuryPyroptosiscontrbutestotheestablishmentofLNandmayexpeditetheprogresionofLNandother lupusmanifestations.Inhibitingpyroptosisisanticipatedtoenhance theprognosisofLN.Thisreviewexaminesthefunctionofpoto sisinthepatogesisofLndedaementsinssatedtevetiosiesedngteroeespctiefori ical diagnosis and treatment of LN.
